Country Cafe

After a long drive during the day in the rain we stopped at the Country Cafe for lunch. Contrary to the name it pretty much was a Mexican restaurant. The wife ordered enchiladas while I ordered tacos. We both enjoyed our meals. The decor was nice and the lady who took our orders and brought our food out was polite and courteous.

I called ahead to order from the road, and they were only too happy to cook something to be picked up right at closing time. They were very nice. As for the food, it was ok. The fried okra without breading was a little weird, but I'm sure someone out there likes it this way.

5 stars isn't enough!!!! Not what you would expect from a restaurant called Country Cafe in small town Kansas. Best authentic Mexican food!!!! Green Chilie Stew was AMAZING!

My husband and I stopped here on our way to Wichita KS. Food and service were both excellent. My flauta dinner was just as I ordered and my husband had the breakfast platter. We would highly recommend this establishment!

Came here for breakfast after being at the Sand Dunes and so glad we came in. American food and Mexican and they have muffins I hear the locals come in and get even though not in the menu. I got the breakfast burrito with her chorizo & hash brown and husband got the breakfast platter and both delicious! Update: went to get this muffin the locals say and it's a breakfast sandwich in an English muffin! 🤣
