Cottage House Ethiopian Cuisine

We stopped by here tonight. We had a late lunch, so we wanted to get a few plates to share with everyone. We got the lamb awaze ribs and the cottage special zelzel beef tibs as well as the beef sambusa. Both tibs were flavorful and unique, would recommend trying. The beef sambusa was okay. We also got the Yemar Tej (Honey Wine), which was very flavorful. Would highly recommend getting a glass. We had a party of 5, and there was an added service charge for the party size. I was not aware of this after I paid for the bill (including additional tip). Fortunately, the manager of the restaurant was very honest, polite, and professional. She quickly rectified the issue without any difficulty. Much appreciated!

Restaurant is very clean and organized. Great costumer service. Ordered Awaze Tips and it tasted great very fresh and homemade. Dessert was great too I got tiramisu.😁

We went for dinner and it was amazing! So reasonably priced and Rachel gave us incredible service! All the food was delicious and well-portioned. A must try!

On a cold Georgetown night, my cousin and I were out walking and decided we needed something warm — so we ducked into Cottage House Ethiopian Cuisine for a cup of coffee… and what an unforgettable experience it turned out to be! This beautiful spot is the only Ethiopian restaurant in Georgetown and such a warm, inviting addition to the neighborhood. The atmosphere inside is gorgeous — cozy yet elegant — and instantly made us feel welcome.
