Costello's Coffee House

We were staying in Florissant for a few days, stopped here for a “quick” breakfast and coffee before heading to pikes peak. The reviews were pretty good so we were expecting decent breakfast, boy were we wrong. The one and only lady working was nice but she kept saying she didn’t know what she was doing. We ordered the Carmel latte and the crème brûlée latte. She said I don’t have a recipe for these so I will throw some stuff in there. The latte’s were lukewarm and didn’t taste very good. We ordered the breakfast bagel and the breakfast bowl. The bagel was less than average and the breakfast bowl was horrible. For a $50 breakfast it was disappointing. I don’t blame the lady working there I just believe she needs more training and maybe some additional help.

The best coffee shop in Colorado, Harley is the best barista, the housemade simple syrups with the lattes were next level, freshly baked house made pastries, flaky and baked to perfection,the asthetic brings you back to the wild west. Truly a beautiful experience all around

I finally got to stop in after driving by it for years. The avacodo toast is absolutely incredible. Two pieces of FULLY loaded toast. I'll dream about that for weeks! My hubby & I shared it. My son got the Captain Nap's Bagel Sandwich. It was very good as well. They even have decaf coffee. Double check to make sure they make it decaf especially if they are distracted by an over talkative husband! I've attached the current menus as of 7/26/25

The service was amazing. The barista was very sweet and welcoming and gave awesome food recommendations. The ambience was very relaxing, nostalgic you could say. It felt like going into grandmothers house for some sweet ole cookin. We got the avocado toast and the chicken and waffle and both were a 10/10!

Me and my husband stopped here on our way for breakfast before heading out for the day. We are from out of town and immediately felt at home inside this warm little cozy cafe. The lady working at the front counter (I didn’t get her name sadly) was so sweet and friendly and had such amazing customer service made us feel right at home. I had the captain naps bagel with sausage and it was absolutely delicious. My husband had the avacado toast and he really enjoyed it. Such delicious coffee and such an amazing quaint cozy, and vintage little place. If we are ever in Florissant CO again we are definitely coming back.
