Costa by Madrid – Elevated Latin Cuisine

Another new hidden gem that has opened in Sedona. Costa by Madrid is a gorgeous spot serving elevated Latin cuisine with real creativity. The ceviche is bright and fresh, the small plates are bold and flavorful, and the cocktails are on point. The space feels intimate and stylish, making it perfect for a date night or a special dinner. The menu is on the smaller side, but everything is thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. A standout addition to the Sedona dining scene.

Sedona Community! I cannot stop thinking about this incredible tapas mealI had on Thurs evening at our new Latin American restaurant Costa.(happy hour - a SOLID value in Sedona)! Having lived in Peru for several years, I’ve been craving these flavors and Costa got it right! The ceviche was literal perfection. Just as fresh and delicious as the ceviche made right from the sea in Ecuador. The tostada de carne - such great textures and flavor. If never had anything like it before. The chiccaron de cameron (shrimp) were crispy and the salad it comes with was the exact right balance. And finally the most surprising Id all - the totopos de atun sabroso. Absolutely incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and vibrant energy. The food was outstanding — every dish was bursting with authentic Latin American flavors, beautifully presented, and perfectly cooked. The ceviche was fresh and zesty, the empanadas were crispy and flavorful. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and gave excellent recommendations. The cocktails were also top-notch — creative, balanced, and delicious. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a taste of Latin America here in town. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

A new restaurant with a Latin-inspired tapas menu. It was perfectly average, with opportunity for improvements in flavors. The oysters were smothered in toppings and so no “oyster taste” was there. The ceviche was flavorless, and had a frozen chunk of purple ice on top. I do recommend the plantains that had a great texture and flavor. Happy hour daily from 4-6 for a better deal.

Costa needs to be on your list of restaurants to visit in Northern AZ. Tucked away in a small shopping center near Uptown Sedona this hidden gem delivers creative and flavor-filled dishes with Latin notes. Promptly greeted at the door and seated immediately. A+ The table is dressed nicely with elegant touches. A Decor is clean and simple yet astute and modern. A Menus upon seating and water quickly thereafter. A (No upsell on ridiculously overpriced bottled water was a refreshing touch) A+ A complimentary course of bread (Chefs Pan de Bono) and butter with 2 different, scrumptious oils.
