Customer Reviews
This is literally my favorite library! The associates are always so helpful and friendly. I have never gone in there and needed help and they not provide it. They have made me laugh on so many occasions. These associates know what genuine customer service is. The library is always clean and cozy. Everything is so organized and easy to find. For some reason, libraries are loud and not like they once were, but I have not had that issue with this library. It’s always quiet. I walked out today and to the associates who were present that they are always friendly in there and I highly appreciate it. I decided to share this as a review as well! I highly recommend everyone visit this library. You won’t be disappointed or dissatisfied! -Tameka F.
Do lunch at Dos Hermanos immediately! This restaurant is located in Downtown Memphis inside of Crossitt Library. Coming here completely satisfied my soup and salad lunch craving. I have never had a chicken soup this good in my life and I heard this week is chicken and dumplings. I’m a fan of what Chef Eli creates - fashion included! I love how his style reflects in his food. I think I’m going to go on a Memphis soup, chili and ramen tour for the fall/winter. ❤️ What I ordered: - Crab Cake Salad - Creamy God Blessed and Highly Favored Chicken Soup (this is not the correct name 😂)
Modernized Downtown library features restaurant, photo/video and podcast studios for public use; co-work spaces, meeting and stdy space, as well as performance area.
I had brunch at the Cossitt Library. As well as seeing the Eclipse with my solar glasses. The waiter was very friendly and the Shrimp and Grits was delicious. My first time visiting the Cossitt Library. I will be back for sure. Thanks for the Free glasses Memphis Public Library.
Constantly crowded, primarily at computers. Loud talking, hacking/coughing/sneezing, to & from the restrooms. Very distracting. Very limited book selection. Upstairs is now kids only; nowhere to escape the main floor noise (ongoing construction next to the building on the "study room" side). Cafe is closed. The entire library randomly closes early without warning (I've observed it twice personally). The Crenshaw (on Vance) & Benjamin Hooks (Poplar) branches are far better.
