I really enjoyed this unique deli in this residential area. Their spin on sandwiches are quite flavorful, with quality ingredients. They work hard to quickly fill each order , and they are popular with the locals! Staff was very helpful and friendly, assisting me with my selection and describing the flavors and most popular selections. I also appreciate when they make personal suggested modifications. I will definitely return when I'm back in DC. I highly recommend this local favorite with much flavor, and a healthy meal alternative. Parking may be difficult and limited, so either bring a friend to circle the block and pick you back up while you order, order ahead, get ride assistance, or be patient for a nearby parking opportunity.

We love this place so much and for all the years we lived in the neighborhood would get their sandwiches every week. When we moved away I literally cried a little when I picked up my last sandwich. Just great sandwiches and great friendly owners. Also in three years they never once got my order wrong which is wild. Miss them already.

Such a gem in Navy Yard! Great deli/sandwich menu, tons of fun drinks and snacks, and a refreshing change from all the fast-casual chains in the neighborhood. And the staff is wonderful and super friendly, even as they are hustling through the work day lunch rush. If you live, work, or visit Navy Yard, Cornercopia is a must-visit.
