Overall a decent place. Pasta not my personal favorite but apps and desserts absolutely blew me away! Apps: meatballs (4/5) yummy but also nothing to write home about. Focaccia (5/5) that eggplant dip is to dive for! I would like a jar of it please! Mains: hubby got the lasagna (5/5) and said it’s one of the best lasagna he’s ever had (I tried a bite and wholeheartedly agree it was awesome). I was going to get the cavatelli but they don’t make it anymore so opted for pappardelle. It came with a creamy sauce on top which was nice plus crunch from crushed nuts. But overall felt a bit one note. I added some salt and pepper to give it a bit more flavor. Some acid would be perfect balance to a rather rich pasta. I lived in Naples, Italy for 2 years and Cori Pastificio Trattoria is as authentic as you'll get in San Diego. Sicilian influence with a modern touch. My picture didn't do it justice. Came to celebrate my birthday and ordered an item from every category of the menu: 1. Apperitivo- RICCIOLA Japanese hamachi crudo, light easy starter to get pallet going well seasoned and pickled onions. 2. DA STRADA- ARANCINI. Lightly fried Crispy Rice Balls - Mushrooms - Mozzarella - Gorgonzola - Truffle Oil. V (fan favorite of my 3 year old daughter 3. Not on the menu but saw it previously on Google reviews, asked for the octopus. Seasonal item or depending on availability. Luckily it there available and enjoyed it. 4. Pasta: DITALINI. Delicious Italian cuisine at Cori Pastificio Trattoria in North Park! Perfect spot for a date night, beautiful ambiance matched with excellent service. The agnolotti was one of the best tasting dishes I’ve had this year, and I eat three times a day. We also enjoyed the Ditalini squid ink pasta and wagyu carpaccio. Great wine too! Lots of indoor and dog friendly outdoor seating. Recommend!

By far one of the best restaurants in the city. I dream of this food!! It is my number one recommendation to family/friends that visit San Diego and a great place for a date night or celebration. The cacio é Pepe donuts are heaven. I order them every time I’m here. The gnocchi is another one of my favorite dishes. In the past, I’ve also had amazing short rib and fish dishes here. The staff is always kind and attentive.

While I will say that the price of my dish was very steep (risotto with prawns), It was a 10 out of 10. definitely a splurge for me but absolutely recommend this place. I wasn’t a fan of the espresso martini nor the dessert my friend chose but I know that the other dessert would have probably been much better. She had some cream puff thing that was just OK. I’m still giving this place five stars because the food is absolutely phenomenal and they are super awesome and the ambience is very chill which I love.
