It was amazing! Happened on the place by accident, never going back to Bar Harbor again! So quaint and peaceful. Black Duck Inn was amazing from hospitality, attention to detail and the breakfast was outstanding. All fresh and mostly locally sourced. Rachel was busy back at school so we did not meet her. Willow was so attentive, kind and knowledgeable about the history of the area. Many great places to eat around there as well. We ate at the Tree House two nights in a row the Mediterranean Halibut was fabulous. Just across the street from the Black Duck you can have lunch on the dock, great fresh seafood. There is a shuttle and a ferry that can take you to Bar Harbor if you want to be in a crowded tourist environment. Many amazing trails to walk as well. We will be back!
This place was SO beautiful! We spent our first day in Maine checking out Bar Harbor and their side of Acadia~ but honestly? Corea Harbor and this side of Acadia was so magical, beautiful and amazing. AND!! Black Duck Inn even has their OWN trails that are private, beautiful, and full of unique plant life. We got to go on a semi private lobster tour, which was SO much better then the industrialized sardine packed tours I’ve been on in the past as well. This place was such a gem!!! Rae and Will provided beautiful accommodation, and I felt like royalty every morning being served a full platter or tea, coffee, parfaits and a full breakfast meal ❤️ HIGHLY recommend the Black Duck Inn if you looking for a super special unique and not over crowded vacation experience.
We had another wonderful stay at Corea Harbor's Black Duck Inn. We completely settled in and unwound from the daily hustle and loved every minute of it! Willow and Rachel are the best innkeepers and pampered us with their unbelievable breakfasts and made mine gluten free! They suggested restaurants in the area which were great. The Inn is beautiful and the innkeepers have been making improvements to this historic charming Victorian and to the grounds. The rooms have microwaves, small refrigerators and AC. Very comfortable! |The harbor is picturesque. The area is replete with hand made items and farm stands. Let me mention Darthia Farm Organic Produce, US Bells, Prospect Harbor Soaps for a few. Don't be afraid to ask the owners for places to go, things to see or do! They have t
7/2022 I cannot recommend this Inn enough! The area is just breathtaking. The harbor is beautiful. It is picturesque! We walked around the village just about every morning in every direction we could. We loved every minute! The Inn is an historic house overlooking the harbor which Will and Ray have restored bit by bit. I love old houses and appreciate the amount of effort it takes to keep them up. Our rooms were clean with fresh bedding and bath linen. The bed linen was very pretty. Will and Ray added a small refrigerator and microwave along with Poland Spring water for our use. The rooms were air conditioned. We were more than comfortable here. Everything was tastefully done! The breakfasts are fantastic! Yogurt parfait was the first course. Each morning the parfait was a b
We had the most wonderful time during our stay at the Black Duck Inn. The owners, Will and Rachel were very accommodating. The breakfast meals were of culinary art style. The savoriness of the fresh berries, bread and meals were delightful. They have towels and hammocks you can take to the beach. We ask for chairs to take to the beach and they quickly loaned us theirs. The beds were fresh and clean and super comfortable. We woke up to fresh coffee and tea in the parlor each morning and listened to the stereo with old albums of different musical genres for an hour before breakfast. I had a very delightful stay. I hope to come back next year.
