Connie Rae's Restaurant

We loved it! We had the gator bites with spicy ranch dip, and the seafood dinner with fresh broiled scallops, giant fresh fried shrimp and the best fried oysters we've ever had outside of Charleston. Corrie was so attentive and helpful for our first visit. We will be back soon!

I had to share my recent experience at Connie Rae’s. My family and I stopped there on our way back from Georgia. I must admit on first glance I wasn’t 100% sure it would be a place I enjoy however walking in… I couldn’t have been more wrong. We were greeted by Connie Rae her self and had servers that were friendly, respectful and fast. The food was absolutely amazing we had the flounder, hamburger, ribeye and taco salad not one bite of anything was left from any of my family. It is a place we will def be back to when in the area. I highly recommend. Nice to meet you Mrs. Connie. Ps we highly recommend the shrimp cocktail we had that also and it was to die for!!!!

Let's start with the one negative I have for this restaurant. My wife is very sensitive to chemicals, molds and tobacco smoke. We noticed the tobacco smoke very shortly after placing our order. No molds or chemical smells. To be fair it is probably a good thing to have a restaurant with the quality of food where a person can exercise their choice to smoke and still eat. If we had realized this we probably would not have stopped. But we did stop. With that out of the way the food was the best we have eaten in Bamberg. We will go back for take out even though that is a little slow. The service for dining in is much better. Am tempted to stop every time we drive by.

I don't eat out much because a lot of places just don't season their food the way I like it but the seafood platter was outstanding. The customer service was also very good and they are very friendly. I recommend them to anyone and the wife and I will be eating there again.

Ira & I have thoroughly enjoyed all the food we’ve eaten at Connie Rae’s. Best gator tail around Bamberg & the seafood is AWESOME! Great atmosphere & service is great! We look forward to eating there more often!!!
