I’m writing to share my disappointment with our experience today. My family and I came in as a party of four and had an okay meal overall. However, the issue arose when we went to pay the bill. We noticed a gratuity had been added, so we asked our waitress if gratuity was included. She told us no. When we asked her to bring the bill anyway, we saw that gratuity was in fact included. This was very disappointing and felt dishonest. On top of that, when reviewing the bill, the math does not add up correctly. I want to caution others to carefully review their bill when dining here. If gratuity is added automatically—even for smaller parties—it should be clearly communicated ahead of time. Transparency matters. Used to go there more often. Food is usually consistent, which is hard to find. I always tip higher than their highest rate. Recently, on of thier waitresses, on another occasion wanted to leave early. I came in at 7:32 PM and left at 8:39 PM. usually they wait until you're done eating before giving you your check, but not this time. The door was even locked so No one else could come in. I came back, and was talking about my experience with her with one of the patrons. He knew Spanish and translated for me. She tried to say they closed ar 9 PM which I knew. Coming on at 7;32, gave me an hour and a half to eat, so there was no danger of her leaving late. I told the patron the time of my coming in and leaving.
