Compass Coffee

I swung by for a coffee and a breakfast sandwich and despite the service…. It just wasn’t that good. The breakfast sandwich had the taste and texture of something I’d expect to get in the frozen food aisle reheated. The coffee was lacking flavor. The microfoam was over foamed and bubbly. All of this and a not-cheap price. Just underwhelmed and likely will try other places next time.

I was staying in a hotel down the block and decided to try this place for breakfast . The staff are very pleasant and service was quick even though it was busy . I had the Cherry Blossom Cold Brew and Country Chicken Sausage, Egg & Cheese Sandwich - Both were delicious . The place is very spacious and there is plenty of seating .

Apparently they dont accept cash. Didn't think that was legal in DC. Nice policy that excludes people with different access to resources. I've been coming here everyday since starting my new job but don't think I'll be back.

We're glad we took the time to get to know the espresso and other offerings at Compass Coffee -- and glad we got to do it at this new (now new-ish) location on K St NW. The coffee is excellent, especially followed by the traditional (still or sparkling!) glass of water. Looking forward to them being able to open up the big "garage door" window onto the street this spring...

What a gem of a place offering simple but delicious coffee options. I went to a chain coffee place the day before and I overpaid for a drink made wrong. I found this place, that was closer to my accommodations, and was very pleased. The coffee was delicious, and the service was quick. I went with a friend and we had the almond butter latter and the turmeric honey latte. Loved it! The POS did not push for a tip, ethically sourced coffee, and veteran owned. They also had a gluten free breakfast option.
