Comet Theater

Here's the deal with the Comet - it is a super charming, historic and perfectly quirky movie theater that we never miss a chance to go to when we're at Lake Vermillion. Only one show a night. DON'T BE FOOLED IF IT LOOKS CLOSED the sign on the front is only for the gift shop, the movies enter on the side. All seats are fine, popcorn is made fresh, it's a great setup. You should go.

It’s a classic, real, old-time movie theatre that is also a store. I’ve been there many times and always enjoy the vintage and eclectic atmosphere. I don’t drink coffee, so no idea on that area. I’m just expressing my view. Personally, it’s one of those places you should just check out. And, no. I’m not on their payroll. Just a lake local with fond memories of the place. If you can ever catch a movie there … it’s a unique experience.

Great little boutique and specialty coffee shop with northwoods themed items, ladies clothing, specialty food items. Great ice cream! Worth a stop to browse and for interesting gift items.

Always a stop during our annual vacation for coffee, ice cream, and souvenirs. Looming forward to the theater reopening for those rainy days.

11/10. This lovely little theater is part of a Cafe and gift shop for locally made items from in and around the town. When I lost my wallet after visiting, the amazing staff went out of their way to assist me finding it, including checking trash to potentially save me a trip. We honestly need more Comet Theater's in this world, support the one we have every chance you get.
