Comet Pizza

Margarita pizza was 10/10. One of the best pizza places in Hillside and there’s not many. When we went to pick up the pizza, the owner was working hard and can tell this is his blood sweat & tears. He was also very welcoming and nice. And the pizza was amazing, will be back again & again!

This small unassuming spot on the corner delivers major flavor and comfort . I’ve been a few times so I can say the food is consistently delicious . Hot fresh homemade soups, hot sandwiches for these frigid temps ,and of course pizza , cold sandwiches, hot dogs, entrees, desserts, alcohol. Etc. you can dine in front or you can go their cozy dining room area. Don’t miss out on this neighborhood gem!

Township of hillside has lost its essence of service at Comets. Staff male worker awesome guy but the girl worker didnt provide napkins, or plates and when asked was given just two paper recycled plate. Had to clean off booth table as she watched with a smirk. Pizza was decent but i had to carry it and serve when it was ready. Dessert zeppole was under cooked. Asked to eat in dining area, was told no only for tips and special guests.

I had lunch with my family today at Comets Pizza 🍕. I am so happy that this place reopened. I grew up in Hillside and lived in the area many years. I am so happy to be able to support a family owned local business. We ordered the plain pizza, chicken parm, pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni, and fried calamari. The food was good and friendly service. Good luck with your business and looking forward to coming back soon.
