Colonial Pancake House

Delaney was a delightful server, & the other staff folks were so friendly as well! It’s always more pleasant when a restaurant is very friendly towards you bringing in a service dog. (Khaleesi got some ham after we left, & she leaves an 5 star review also!). All the food was delicious! I personally liked these pancakes more than the ones at Shorty‘s. The ones at Shorty‘s are much thicker, but I really liked the consistency of these, and they gave me more fruit. I really love the quaint atmosphere here. The blues & the fireplace—so peaceful! The food also came out quick and hot! Their homemade biscuits were delicious! They also have a gluten-free menu.

We had a great lunch here at our second day in Williamsburg. The pancakes 🥞 was so fluffy and soft,the sausage was good too 🍖they have plenty of side to choose from. The burrito 🌯 is juicy and delicious 😋! Will come back for our next time visit.

My husband and I had a really good breakfast at Colonial Pancake House this morning. We both opted for the "two, two, two" which consisted of two eggs for breakfast meat, and two pancakes. I love the banana, pecan pancakes, and my husband enjoyed the blueberry pancakes that were just stuffed with blueberries. The portions were decent and we're actually more than we could eat. The coffee was pretty good too. The icing on the cake was our server. She was very sweet and attentive. Prices were reasonable.

I stopped in for breakfast my first day in Williamsburg to have a stack of....pancakes. No surprise since it is a pancake house. My server was Delaney and she was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Banana Pancakes and they came out fast, fresh and delicious. I wasn't too hungry, so these pancakes weren't super filling and were the perfect size/amount. They have a decent sized menu with gluten free options and everything is reasonable priced. The restaurant is a good size to accommodate all group sizes. Overall, I had a good first time experience eating here and I will be sure to check them out again the next time I am in the area.

We visited this pancake house with high expectations, but overall the experience was underwhelming. The pancakes were smaller than expected, and the prices felt high for the portion sizes. The omelette was more like an egg scramble left to cook flat than a true omelette, not cheesey at all - which was disappointing. The kids’ menu also lacked a biscuit and gravy option, so we had to order a side bowl of gravy and give our toddler the biscuit that came with one our meals just to avoid paying the $11 price for the biscuit and gravy plate, which felt inconvenient and overpriced. Parking was difficult to find, and we ended up parking across the street in a gravel lot. Service was acceptable, but nothing stood out or went above and beyond.
