Colonial Inn Motel

New comfy beds and linens, clean, and looks like the carpeting is new as well. It's a up north cabin-like hotel , so don't expect the hilton or think harshly. I'm a upscale person and love staying here. Its very acceptable for most, as it should be considering up north life. FIVE STARS. keep it up.

My family (my husband, our 16 month old son, and myself) came to Hale for a family reunion. We had originally booked an Airbnb but upon discovering that it didn't have air conditioning, we called the Colonial less than two weeks before our trip. To our relief, they had a vacancy with air conditioning. We booked room 16, which is the two bedroom suite. It's quirky and seems like it used to be an apartment, and I was excited to discover it had a full kitchen.||||Unfortunately, the kitchen didn't have a single utensil, plate, pot, or pan. Not even any dish soap. My son has very specific dietary restrictions so eating out wasn't an option. We wound up going to Koschers and spending $20 on a frying pan, and buying disposable utensils, soap, etc. We made it work but it was frustrating to have a

It's an older building. The decor is dated, but it's simple and tasteful. The important things: room is very clean, including carpet and bath. Room is warm (30 overnight last night), bed is comfortable. Pillows are fine, but didn't particularly suit me. I travel a lot, so bring my own. No exercise facility, but M-65 has a wide paved shoulder, so safe enough to get out and walk. Towels are clean, water is hot. Very affordable. In my travels, just looking for a clean, quiet, safe place to sleep and get cleaned up. The Colonial Inn certainly meets the need. A couple things that stand out. They provide a square bar of bath soap that's easy to get hold of. They have towels and wash cloths like you might use at home. Soft and plush, unlike most of the chain hotels where coarse standard towels

Own was very kind. Room was clean. Great room great price. Only reason i gave it a 3 the toliet was cracked on base and no blow dryer. I did bring my own blow dryer so that was an easy fix

If I could give 0 stars I would. My sister and I reserved a room for an upcoming event that ended up getting canceled. When we called to cancel our reservation the man told us that "we made a commitment" and "i couldve rented out this room to someone else". All we wanted was our money back and it turned into a yelling match. It wasn't until my sisters boyfriend called back and spoke with homeboy wife and threatened to sue that we got the refund. It was so incredibly unprofessional and ill make sure to let everyone know the kind of management this motel has. Absolutely ridiculous.
