Colonial House Supper Club

The real standouts were the bartender and waitress. Service was excellent. The food was hit or miss. The crab legs and stuffed mushrooms were genuinely delicious. The prime rib appears to be pre-made, served in chunks in a buffet pan. Once salted, it’s decent, but nothing special. The lobster claws and cold shrimp were severely overcooked to the point of being rubbery, and the shrimp were not deveined. Would I drive 90 minutes to eat here again? No.

AWESOME!!!🤤. Never had buffet that good. They know how to cook food to perfection. Delicious steak, fat shrimp, tasty ribs, awesome walleye, fresh salad bar with great toppings (like blue cheese)… Friendly, attentive waitress. My husband & I came from out of town & will definitely come back to Colonial House. Worth the two hour trip!

Will not be back! Food was actually cold - eggs, sausage, shrimp, stuffing, bacon and French toast was hard and cold. In case they don’t know it should be a minimum of 140, makes me wonder if anyone has a license to serve. We had reservations and the hostess made us wait with well over half the tables empty. waitress rude taking plates from you while still eating. They were not busy-only 9 tables being used- but rushed you. Not a very friendly or inviting atmosphere. Temp your food and if cold it shouldn’t be served! But the cheesecake was awesome!

My sister and I planned to come here for over a month. I made a reservation for 3 for Saturday (11/16) and we drove an hour one way. We arrived and I checked in. I went up to the bar and ordered myself a screw driver, my husband a SunDrop and my sister an ice water. The bartender was very short and rude, I understand the place was jam packed, but handle yourself better. The screw driver was absolutely the worst one I've ever had. The orange juice was basically water died orange and the vodka was watery. We were seated about a half hour later. There was zero rhyme or reason to get to the buffet. We got there an hour after they opened.we had reservations but still waited 1/2 hour even though not many tables were full. Almost all hot food was cold! Hostess was rude.way over staffed as employees just stood around. Eventually they figured out steam table wasn’t on and added hot water to it. We weren’t even near done eating ( waiting on food to warm up) and the bill was rudely dropped off almost as they wanted us to leave. We drove almost two hours you get there. We will not return
