Love the papaya salad here. Great for the warm weather. The size of the noodle soup was generous. The broth’s herbal aroma was well balanced. Slightly salty for me though but I believe most of the clients will be fine. Worth revisiting if nearby.
Coconut Newton is a Thai restaurant that also shares and cooks food alongside the sister restaurant right next to it, Coco Ramen. The staff were friendly and accommodating, as we had a larger party but there weren't enough seats in Coco Ramen, so we were sat inside Coconut instead. The staff brought the food out quickly and we were able to eat and stay even past closing. We tried dishes from both restaurants, such as the Basil Fried Rice with Chicken Cutlet, Tom Yum Soup, and more. The Tom Yum Soup was alright, it reminded me of a soupy Pad Thai, which isn't what we were expecting from a Tom yum soup. the Basil fried rice was good though, and it had a good kick and spice to it, and the chicken went well with it. The menu was a little confusing though when choosing fried rice, so we chose
First time here. Server was very nice. We didn’t wait too long for food. The pad Thai was very sweet. Too sweet. The chicken red curry was tasty. Could have used a piece or two more of chicken. The fried chicken was very good. I ordered chicken wings and got boneless bites by mistake. They were dark meat and delicious. That dish saved them with this review.
I ordered Indonesian Fried Rice (with Fried chicken), and it was a huge disappointment. The chicken was overcooked so bad or ages ago to the point that the meat was black, hard, and incredibly tough to chew. It was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The rice was passable but I would not say it’s decent fried rice. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience. I ordered delivery.
We have not returned into the restaurant to know if service is any better, but the food is still amazing (we order delivery often). Hence I am revising my rating upwards to 4stats. We’ll continue ordering from here for sure: the food is just very good! ——— Have to reduce my rating from 5 to to 2 stars. Food remains excellent, but tonight I got yelled at by the guy who assigns your table. My kids wanted inside but there wasn’t space inside. So I said, outside is ok. But then my kids wouldn’t go outside. So, when I went out to discuss the situation the server started yelling at me as he apparently he didn’t appreciate the 1 min wait while we sorted out sitting preferences. He thought I knew that the restaurant next door was also their property. I did not know that. That’s where they had tabl
