We’re from Tyrone, GA, and we stumbled upon the sweetest little spot serving truly homemade Mexican food — the kind that makes you swear an abuelo is in the kitchen cooking with love. Maria, the young lady who took care of us, made sure we were comfortable from the moment we sat down. She brought out a stunning soup filled with shrimp, spinach, squash, and an extraordinary broth, served with rice, fresh cilantro, and limes. Every spoonful tasted like comfort. I ordered the shredded beef enchiladas with rice, refried beans, and charro beans — all perfectly seasoned and tender. The chips were freshly made, and the guacamole was absolutely superb. This place is a gem, and we’re already planning our next visit to Houston.

Be careful when choosing this place to eat. They just upcharged us on a lot of items From the menu and said that it was a computer error and that they couldn’t do anything about it. How does a medium agua Fresca be the Same price as a large? The prices on the menu are different from what they’ll charge you at the end. BE AWARE

I had seen that the menudo was the best. Big let down! It has no flavor whatsoever. The server is super nice.

The food was not bad but they give small portions at a high price. I was hungry so I ate it, but didn't appreciate the amount of food that was given. I am not a big guy and I was still hungry when I walked out. The waitress was very nice which made the experience better but I don't think I will touch down here a second time. As far as the atmosphere, it's a "humble" place I just wish they focused more on the quality of the food as well as the pricing. You be the judge.

Don't let its humble appearance fool you. I have been coming here for over 15 years and the quality of the food and the customer service has never changed. The food is always fresh to order with a large selection to choose from. Fan favorite for us has been the Ceviche!
