COBS Bread

I only had one pastry from there. It was nothing impressive easy to make, but tasty. I won’t be going back to this location anymore, because of the blonde lady with the British accent who works at this location. I don’t know if she’s a baker or cashier. I just seen that she has no respect for delivery drivers who deliver for the business she works for. She has an entitled attitude. A bakery is suppose to be warm when it comes to atmosphere & customer service. Customers should never see the employees being rude or disrespectful to anyone especially someone who is supporting the business by delivering items for said business.

Passing through Stamford, we were curious to try some bread and pastries from COBS Bread, which is a Canadian-based bakery with only 2 locations in CT. The smell of the baked goods was noticeable right away and made us so excited to pick out what we wanted! My fiancé and I let several people go ahead of us in line as we were still trying to decide what to order, and while we were deliberating the manager brought us over a white chocolate blueberry scone to enjoy complimentary. It was such a nice gesture and not one that you see too often! Our favorites that we picked up here were the sourdough cob and sea salt and black pepper Turkish bread. After seeing their stand at the Hope in Motion cancer walk each year (with free treats!), I stopped in today when they handed me a “today only” free loaf card — and I’m glad I did. I picked an olive loaf; my partner chose a berry & white chocolate scone, and I grabbed a lemon blueberry scone (since their famous cinnamon rolls were sold out). My daughter loved the chocolate croissant, and we all enjoyed a shareable apple danish — which, per Tom, tastes amazing warmed with ice cream. Tom at the counter was outstanding — warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. He patiently walked us through the selection and helped us choose, all with a genuine smile. Curtis was extremely kind and attentive. Passed by today to get a treat for my family and cheese bread to make sandwiches for lunch. To my surprise, it was on him(free). Great customer service and definitely a great surprise! Thank You Curtis! Keep up the great work!!

I am British, since living in America I have missed having bread with flavor. Cobbs Bakery is amazing. OMG the bread is so yummy, scones amazing, and they have Baps. The first month I spent $240 on bread and pastries. don't judge me lol I have to do a lot of biking and hiking to keep picking up my bread for Cobbs. Staff are always lovely and friendly. (I wonder if the owner is British)
