Coastal Cafe and Creamery

Had the $5 burger special with tater tots, and the chicken noodle soup. Both were excellent, each time we come, we are very happy and very satisfied! Give it a try!! Pictured is the pimento burger from a previous visit, it was delicious!

What a gem we discovered when traveling through the area. The shrimp burger (a special that day) was SO GOOD, seasoned just right. My husband’s cheeseburger was equally as good. We shared a bowl of shrimp corn chowder…we each should have ordered our own, it was that good! Make a point to check out Coastal Cafe-they are not just ice cream. Which we had too, to cap off a delicious lunch. Oh…and the service and friendliness is genuine and spot on!

We stopped in today for our first visit to Coastal Cafe & Creamery. It definitely won't be our last! First, the owner will great you and will gladly answer any questions, tell you where the fresh seafood comes from, history of the recipes he uses. I enjoyed the conversation! We started off with the Shem Creek Crab Dip. Very good and a hit of spicy, loved it! Next was the Costal Crab & Corn Chowder. Its very flavorful and a dash of OldBay on top makes it perfect. I had the Port Royal Pimento Burger. The pimento cheese was spot on, but honestly the burger patty was just ok. I'll try something else next visit. My girlfriend had the Stone Shrimp Burger. Now this was something special! You can tell it's loaded with Shrimp and not some sort of bread filler. I definitely recommend this burger.

This place is such a little gem in Powdersville! Greg, a Lowcountry native, brings a taste of the coast to us with his delicious recipes. He often speaks of traveling down to get fresh shrimp. He also has farm fresh eggs, and of course my kids love the ice cream! Not only is his food great, he’s just a kind dude and I’m happy to support him. I hope others continue to do the same in the midst of the opening of the new Marble Slab in the area. As a community, let’s keep giving Coastal Cafe and Creamery our business!

Love this place! My mom & I come here all the time, for ice cream mostly. I recently had the burger w/ tatter tots ($6.99) for the 2nd time today & it was delicious. Shout out to Ethan (I really hope I remembered his name correctly 😅) who took put my ice cream in the freezer while I ate my burger. Great service & food!
