Cluck U Chicken South Orange

Stopped by the South Orange Cluck U Chicken after a long work shift with my girlfriend, and the experience was disappointing. The staff member who took our order was extremely rude and unwelcoming, making sarcastic comments when I asked questions about the menu and sauces. I ended up leaving rather than arguing. Customers deserve to be treated with basic respect definitely not the kind of service I expected.

Tried for the first time and it was good. The fries are very well seasoned, the chicken was tasty and crispy. When you order 12 pieces of chicken you get 5 free honey biscuits. Just make sure you tell them add the honey. The Mac and cheese could use some work in my opinion.

The staff is friendly. The food is good. Great grab and go spot, mainly because the inside is very small. The honey mustard wings are delicious. The onion rings were good, fresh with just the right amount of batter; they would have been better with sauce (guess the ran out🤷🏾‍♀️). I also tried the beef ribs the were ok nice and juicy, but there was more bbq sauce in the container than the meat. This wasn’t a bad experience, just a busy night for a small place.

Today I ate from, Cluck-U Chicken S.O., for the first time in a while and it was absolutely phenomenal. Typically I’d order their legendary Mini Bites, but wanted something a little light. I had ordered their Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap w/ Lettuce, Tomatoes, Parmesan, & Caesar Dressing. The best word to describe the wrap would be Refreshing. The chicken had awesome flavor and the veggies were extremely fresh. For it to not necessarily be intended to be so, it was pretty filling. One can’t really go wrong with Cluck-U. They have some good food for great prices. If anyone is in S.O. and would like some Chicken, def would highly recommend Cluck-U S.O.!
