CLIFTON'S JAMROCK

My experience at Clifton’s JamRock was pretty cool. The food was freaking amazing. I had the Jerk chicken with rice and peas, sweet yams, and cabbage, and everything was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The jerk chicken had the right balance of heat and seasoning, while the rice and peas were fluffy and paired perfectly with the meal. The yams added a nice touch of sweetness, and the cabbage was well-seasoned and fresh. The portion sizes were generous, and you could definitely taste the authenticity in every bite. The atmosphere was laid-back, and the staff was welcoming and attentive, which made the dining experience even better. Disgusting! I ordered thru DoorDash 2:50pm. The store opened at 3pm. My dasher got there only to have to wait an additional 10 mins putting me to get my food after 4pm. After waiting all this time and spending $95 for oxtails, jerk chicken and curry chicken, The oxtails were tough AND tasteless as you can see from the pictures. I tried to save them by making my own oxtail gravy with seasoning and they were not savable. The cabbage was basically steamed with no flavor, the beans and rice mushy. THE MACARONI well you see the picture. The collard greens were spicy which I didn’t mind because NOTHING had flavor! The curry chicken disgusting to be quite honest all 3 plates went in the trash. If your not in this business because you LOVE what you do stop taking people money.

Visiting on a work trip from Minnesota and wanted to find a spot for dinner in the Fairburn area where l'm staying. Stumbled upon this spot. At first I was confused as it looked like just a bar from outside and almost didn't go in, but found out I was at the right place. Clifton's is definitely a hole in the wall, but one of the BEST for Jamaican favorites! The curry goat was my absolute favorite, and everything had such great flavor (I lived in Charlotte, NC prior to MN and was in the foodie scene). The bartender was so sweet and personable. The other patrons were super friendly too. My order was the curry goat over rice and beans, plantains, mac and cheese & a ginger pineapple juice. Will definitely be back on my next work trip!

Don’t even leave bad reviews, but this place has completely fell OFF! I don’t know if it’s new management or what, but for oxtails and I got food poisoning from taking ONE bite of each! We have got to do better for your community that supports you!

I ordered the oxtails on 9/17 on Uber eats. I spent $40 and it was a waste. I ordered yams and collard greens as my sides. The yams were good but the oxtail had no taste, they were tough and didn’t look nor taste like they were slow cooked. I will NOT pay $40 again.
