Clifton House

We stayed at the Clifton House while we were in town for my friend's graduation from nursing school. Our stay was delightful and the host greeted us into a warm and inviting home. We had delicious gourmet styled breakfasts and daily treats. My favorites were the homemade brownies and financiers (almond browned butter cookies). Throughout the day, we had hot herbal tea, coffee and sodas to drink. The home was stunning with a curved wooden staircase leading up to a beautifully decorated Christmas tree with a cozy sitting area around it. The host was friendly and I enjoyed her stories about the home. I enjoyed my stay and would do it all again!

This is the place to go if you want great breakfasts, hospitality and a tasty snacks when you come back. Nancy made me feel very welcomed. I felt like I was visiting a friend instead of staying in a B&B. If I am ever in the Cincinnati area again I will definitely come back!

Such a wonderful stay with Nancy! She was so kind, had many great stories to share and cultivated a comfortable and welcoming stay. It felt like staying at grandma’s house in the best way. Will definitely e going back!

My husband and I stayed one night at the Clifton House and had a truly memorable experience. Nancy was such a gracious host; she welcomed us warmly, gave us a wonderful tour of the home, and shared her fascinating book collection. Even more special, many of those books were actually written by authors who stayed in the house, which added such a unique historical charm to our visit. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, served in a beautifully decorated dining room that made the whole experience feel elegant and inviting. The house itself is full of character, with comfortable rooms, plenty of charm, and thoughtful touches throughout. For cyclists, this is an ideal place to stay. Walking distance to Great food 5/5. Breakfast 5/5, and conversation 5/5. Had a great weekend here, even with the snow. Came to see Iron Lung release, and had an above expectation experience staying here with Nancy being a great host.
