Claymont Public Library

Small but nice library with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they offer great programs for children. Bathrooms are clean and there is a kids size bathroom in the children's section, I love this! There’s a little path outside that’s nice to walk around. I only wish there were a playground nearby.

Honestly probably the loudest of all New Castle libraries, even in the rooms marked “Quiet Area,” so make sure to reserve a meeting room if you like to work in more quiet environments. There’s beautiful murals inside and the architecture of the building allows for so much natural light to come in. The staff was very friendly and helpful and even provided care to an elder patron who collapsed trying to use a computer.

Very good library and friendly staff. Wonderful collection. Lots of things to do for kids with a wide selection including toys and play area. Outdoor sitting area available. Milk powder is available for free from the library, which is of very good quality. Museum and zoo tickets available for free to library card holders but need to reserve in advance. Clean restrooms. Lots of parking.

The most beautiful and interactive library I've ever been to. The grounds it sits on are peaceful & soothing to the eye. So many classes & groups to join. The employees are always kind and helpful.
