I've not yet been able to catch them for one of the AYCE/buffet even nights, but otherwise the food has been hot, fresh, larger portions, fair prices. The restaurant itself has that homey Cajun-Creole decor vibe both inside and on the covered side porch. Menu is pretty extensive, including alligator, boudin, clams, crawfish and other seasonal offerings. Additionally, there is a huge drinks case (something for everyone!) BUT no alcohol served/sold. I'd like to give an extra nod here to Z? Zee? who was our cashier/counterperson/waitress extraordinare. She was bubbly, prompt, knowledgeable, and beyond helpful, start to finish. I have been a loyal customer to this establishment since they opened. I called and placed an order over the phone and was told that they had crawfish not crayfish so, I placed my order. Upon pickup I realized that the crawfish was not the normal crawfish that is normally sold. After speaking with the employees I finally got to speak with the manager (Rick). He told me that they were crawfish and that all crawfish are the same which isn't correct. After I told him that I was not happy and its not what I wanted because, I was under the impression that it was the crawfish that they normally sell. He said there was nothing he could do and continued to say I should just eat them. Its really ridiculous that an owner would treat his customer this way. First time trying the food at this place yesterday. I got the shrimp po boy basket, husband got the fish sandwich. Both have a great batter,cooked to perfection, delicious! Only downfall is the limited parking, but, they do alot of carryout so it's not too bad. Well worth the visit!

If you seek the real deal then you've found it. Once a gas station, this crustacean cafe meets the "not fancy, but fantastic," vibe. We now have a spot to stop every time we are in Nac. The mudbugs had exactly the right amount of spice and came out hot! The shrimp were huge. We finished every bite. I especially enjoyed the Dr. Pepper in a bottle. The team that worked here seemed happy to be there and made us feel welcome. I also appreciated finding a restaurant that focused on food instead of partying. Thanks Clawdaddy's!
