CJ's Pastelillos

The best authentic Puerto Rican restaurant in SWFL. Food: Absolutely divine. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We ordered bacalaitos (scrumptious), alcapurrias, mofongo dinner and the pork chop dinner. To my delight, a coconut popsicle (limber) to end the night that brought me back to my childhood. Drinks: delicious house Malbec and Cuba libres made by the owner himself. Service: Gianna made you feel right at home. She provided excellent service. Atmosphere: Classic salsa music playing that makes you dance in your seat. Domino tables make for an excellent dining table especially when accompanied by actual dominoes. Great way to begin dinner and sip cocktails while waiting for food. CJ’s is an absolute must. Thank you to this wife/husband duo for bringing el Boriquen to SWFL

We had a wonderful dinner at CJ’s! The owner and waitstaff are so nice and welcoming, and the food was a true labor of love! The pastelillos were so flavorful, my favorite were the pionono and the shrimp, the chicken and beef were also delicious! I also loved having dominos on the table to play and the salsa music playing created a fun and upbeat atmosphere!

CJ’s is absolutely the best! Great authentic Puerto Rican Food, genuinely great service and atmosphere, and super clean and tidy. The vibe is just right and on point all the way from having Dominos on the table to play with while waiting for food all the way down to the music and decor. Highly recommend. Easy location also in North Naples, right across from the Germain Toyota dealership. Definitely try some fried cheese and Guava sauce for your appetizers.

I wanted to support a local, small, Hispanic owned Puerto Rican restaurant in Naples, but the experience was disappointing. When I offered constructive feedback, the owner became defensive and started mansplaining ingredient counts, even pointing to a tile and saying it cost $40 per square foot. It came across as awkward and off putting. I ordered the CJ’s Picadera sampler with alcapurrias, rellenos de papa, sorullos, jibaritos, and chicharrón de cerdo, and added the mofongo bites. The best item was the rellenos de papa. They had great flavor, I will give them that, but if that is the normal size for $7, it is not worth it. Foods was fantastic! I ordered pastelillos de pizza y carne/beef. Ordered the arroz con gandules/rice with pigeon peas (beans) and pink beans. Alcapurrias de bacalao/cod fish-- who knew??!!! And alcapurria de carne. It was Ali very GOOD. SABROSO 😊 Coming back off course. Need to get pasteles!!!
