City Tap House Penn Quarter

No one really works here. There’s staff that sit you, if you can get their attention. Then someone brings you water and food. Otherwise, you order with the QR code. Then it asks for a tip? A tip for what?! Food was good but just not good enough to overcome the lack of service. I understand the changes to restaurant servers in DC but this was a bit much.

I enjoyed my experience! The pork nachos were delicious, the drinks were also good. Ordering through your phone was convenient as well.

We recently hosted an event at City Tap Penn Quarter, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, the staff was incredible — so helpful, professional, and genuinely kind. Shae, our event coordinator, was fantastic to work with and made planning so easy. She helped us choose a delicious menu that everyone loved, and the team went above and beyond on the day of the event. They helped us set up, cut and arranged the flowers we brought into vases, and made sure every detail was perfect. Our servers, De’ja and Teetee, were attentive, friendly, and professional, and the manager even jumped in to help us get our presentation slides onto the TV. The food was outstanding! We received so many compliments from our guests. City Tap Penn Quarter exceeded every expec

Really enjoyed our visit to City Tap House. The food and beer we got here were great. I enjoyed the fish and chips with coleslaw.

Generous portions of good food, reasonable prices, attentive service. Lots of choices on the menu. My friend opted for the Sesame-Apple Crunch Salad ($16.50) while I enjoyed the City Tap Cubano with Fries ($18.75). A neighborhood pub atmosphere in downtown DC.
