City Place Cafe

City Place Cafe was a pleasant surprise for breakfast. The prices were very reasonable, which is getting harder to find these days. My son ordered the breakfast burrito for about $10, and it was huge—easily one of the larger breakfast burritos we’ve seen at that price. More importantly, he said it was very good. If you’re looking for a casual spot with solid portions and fair prices, it’s definitely worth stopping in.

I found this on Google Maps after looking for a place near my appointment in the city. It did not disappoint! Loved the Venezia baguette sandwich. Very clean inside with nice bar seating.

Wow, I cannot say enough about this cafe. Walked in and was greeted right away. The breakfast burritos was absolutely the best I ever tasted. Warm, inviting atmosphere. I wish I would have found them before my last day in DC. On my next visit, they will most definitely see me. Amazing

We came here for breakfast one morning craving bagels as soon as it opened at 7:00 am. We were only in town for a work conference for a week and ended up getting our daily bagel 4/6 days! The restaurant wasn’t too busy that early in the morning. It’s a hidden gem right in the heart of downtown and a great spot to enjoy an amazing meal to start your day. The menu offers vegetarian options as well as substitutions. The first day I ordered just a bagel with egg and cheese, along with a double shot espresso ( they serve Lavazza here, so it was great!).
