I stopped in at Ciro’s Seafood and ordered the Fish & Shrimp Combo Basket, and it ended up being a great choice. The shrimp was the awesome! Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and full of flavor. Easily some of the best fried shrimp I’ve had in a while. The fish was also seasoned really well. The fillets were a little thin, but the flavor more than made up for it. They had that classic Southern/Cajun-style seasoning that hits just right. The fries were legit, not the frozen kind. Good texture and tasted fresh. The hush puppies were pretty standard but still good and exactly what you expect with a seafood basket. I also added a boudin ball, and that was another highlight. Got home, was missing the shrimp from the 3 item platter. It’s 6 bucks more expensive than the 2 item platter and the shrimp is kinda the best part 😭 Good fish, but rough expedience for a first timer. Inside smells extremely strong of oil - they need a better ventilation system.

Its a gem of a restaurant. Had the Baked Fish Pontchartrain: baked catfish on rice, drown in gumbo. It was awesome.

Having grown up in S Tx on the beach, honestly I was a tad apprehensive about ordering shrimp from another place in the area and being disappointed by the size and taste, but I sucked it up and ordered the shrimp anyway. And boy was I pleasantly surprised when the waitress brought me my food! The shrimp was actually a nice size! I don’t recall seeing anything about gold shrimp, but it was definitely comparable. A lot of places around here advertise large or golf shrimp and what you end up getting is cocktail shrimp or smaller! The food was fantastic; down to the hushpuppies! And the chocolate pie…! Fantastic! Nothing about that pie was instant or pre-packaged!! We will def be coming back with our kids!!

Stopped in for a late lunch, and this place was the absolute best choice! The 4-piece catfish was some of the best I’ve ever had—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I definitely should have ordered more hush puppies; they were delicious and left me wanting more. The place was spotless and nicely decorated, with a welcoming vibe. Clean restrooms, too, which is always a plus. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food and a comfortable dining experience!
