Chuyita's Mexican Restaurant and Bar

I came in for a late lunch, place was quiet as far as guests go, and the music was good- not too loud. I was told to sit wherever I wanted and a server showed up within 30 seconds to greet me and give me a menu. I went with a Steak Burrito and the guacamole. Food came out within 4 minutes of ordering and was really good! My experience with walking into a restaurant during off-peak hours is typically not good, with servers not greeting us in a timely fashion, or food takes a long time, etc... but not Chuyita's! Outside seating is pet friendly. Very attentive staff. Food was very fresh and great serving sizes. Our server, Juana, even brought a styrofoam foam bowl with water for our dog without us asking. She has a Chihuahua and a fluffy little dog so she’s a dog lover herself. I wish I had them back in my hometown. Can’t wait to try more dishes next time I’m back in Charlotte.

This was a great find while in town for work. My colleague and I love Mexican food and this place did not disappoint! Great service right away and ambiance! Great vibes with the music and the spicy salsa was on point! Being lunchtime, I went with the cheesy steak burrito and it was perfect! Additionally, I had a coke with lunch and pleasantly surprised when they asked if I want to take one to go. That was unexpected and truly appreciated. Highly recommend for lunch and/or probably dinner!

Chuyita’s Mexican Restaurant is a hidden gem. The beef tacos were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Every dish we tried was fresh and satisfying, from the saucy enchiladas to the crispy wings and indulgent dessert. The service was excellent, friendly, fast, and attentive. You can tell they care. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for authentic, well-made Mexican food. Update went back and the food is fresh and delicious.

I have eaten here twice now. Once dine in and once delivery and I had an excellent meal both times. It is evident they use quality ingredients and care about their food. Many moons ago I worked in the food service industry both in and selling to restaurants - I am fully aware of ways to cut corners in order to save money. They don’t do that here. Everything is fresh and it shows. I declared to my family last night that this is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in town! Give it a try - also bonus - they serve breakfast all day. Which is great for a kid who prefers eggs over most things on the menu.
