Church's Texas Chicken

Came here for the first time. Never had churchs before. I don't think I've ever had this bland chicken in my entire life. It tastes like they just coated it in plain flour and batter and fried it. I got it fresh(had to wait 5 min but it's worth it for fresh fried chicken!) And I think that was its mildly saving grave. Very crispy, juicy chicken but not a hint of salt or pepper or ANYTHING. The bread/biscuits were really good! Their corn was probably the best I've ever had. Had the jalapeño bombers and those were decent too. But the chicken was just so plain it was so disappointing. :( The prices online also don't reflect what they have in store. I checked online and they offered a 10 peice family meal deal with 10 legs and thighs and 2 sides for about 25 dollars. I double and triple checke

Ordered the bone in wings combo with fries. I guess the wings would have tasted better if sauced and the fries were cold. I also ordered biscuits and they were the best part of the meal (I'm not even a biscuit eater).

Good spicy fried chicken drumsticks & thighs on Wednesdays 8 pieces for $10.99 & smokehouse 1/2 spicy w/biscuit & jalapeño for $6.99 was very good.

They only put half a teaspoon of Buffalo sauce on my 4 piece boneless wings. Atmosphere was very sad. Bathroom was gross.

I'm from San Antonio, where this restaurant started, and the original building still stands today. Although this is a franchised location, as is the other 4 locations in Washington, the food was a taste of home for me. Love and miss the honey covered biscuits as well as the chicken and super cheesey mac n cheese.
