Chunky and Bop's Philadelphia Cheesesteaks and Hoagies

I’ve been to Chunky and Bops three times now. The first time I ordered a chicken and cheese sub, it was amazing. The second time was still pretty good, but this third visit was really disappointing. The chicken wasn’t even chopped up properly, which made the sandwich harder to eat. On top of that, there was way too much cheese—and it wasn’t even melted. Every bite was overwhelmed by unmelted cheese instead of a balanced flavor. Hoping this was just an off day, but this experience definitely didn’t match the quality I got before.

Cheesesteak Stromboli. Mama Lucia could never. The owner is right there is the kitchen making his food with passion and love. Greeting the customers and making sure they’re satisfied. You pay a little more but you get more. The serving sizes are more than generous as my hand shows the size perspective. This Stromboli could definitely feed a family. The slices on the front are enough for 1 person. Thank you Chunky and Bop. I’ll keep coming back for the Philly style cheesesteak, not the DC steak N cheese.

I was nearby and craving a good steak & cheese, Chunky and Bop’s kept popping up on my timeline. I love supporting Black-owned businesses, so I stopped in and ordered the 6" Little Bop’s Royal Cheesesteak. Definitely glad I did! Nothing was little about it lol🔥 I enjoyed every bite. Service was good. I ordered online. It said 20 min but order was ready in less time. I walked in and walked right out with food! Worth the money!

This place is amazing! The owner is boots on the ground and will tell you all about his journey if you ask. He’s a Philly native bringing a classic to our very own Landover MD. It’s the perfect location if you’re walking to Northwest Stadium for a tailgate or a bite before the game. The cheesesteak was LOADED and so delicious! The fries were the perfect amount of seasoned and crispy, the cheese cup was perfect! The staff also a 10/10! Great service, food came out HOT and FRESH! They also offer freshly made juices, I opted for the strawberry and it did not disappoint. I loved my entire experience and can’t wait to go back.

I rate this place a 10/10 !! Cooked to perfection I couldn’t wait to get a bite in and I ended up eating the whole entire sandwich before the game. The parking was crazy because of the game but I have no complaints. If you need somewhere to grab a great nice bite before the game then I would highly suggest this place! Thank you chunky & bops I will be back to visit with my family! Ps what I did love the most was of course the food but the seating! So comfortable!
