Chuckwagon Restaurant

It was definitely a good stop for us on our way back to Omaha. We decided to stop in a small town to catch some local food and we are glad we stopped here. We were intrigued hearing there are garlic cheese balls here and they did not disappoint. The pork tenderloin sandwich has good crunch while still having a juicy tenderloin inside. The home fries are endless and we were asked if we wanted more but I couldn't fit it in. Sad, because the fries are so dang good and crispy. The patty melt was also good. Juicy beef, melty cheese, toasted marble rye. I'm waiting for the next trip we have to pass by. Those garlic cheese balls are calling.

My favorite stop on the way out to California or on the way back. The burgers and patty melt are amazing. The beef is so incredibly fresh. My daughter had the best milkshake ever. I will stop in every time I pass by. Thank you!

A Friday evening trip across Iowa brought us here at dinner time, and we were not disappointed. Great service from Kindra, was topped off by an exceptional Bourbon Burger with unlimited house fries. My wife had the chicken stripes and it was so good she forgot to leave a bite for the dog. And the coffee is definitely better here than most restaurants!

Food was good. Lunch is better than breakfast. Breakfast is very over priced for the amount of food you get. Also, make sure to pay attention to what comes with each item. Ex: the omelettes do NOT include hash browns (which are an additional $3.00). The way the menu is laid out it looks like hash browns and/or tater tots are included.

We stopped off here for dinner while driving through. The wait staff is very kind, and the food is good. The table fries were incredible and I inhaled a second plate of them. Haven't had such good fries in ages.
