This place really is a hidden gem! The staff is super nice and everything is phenomenal from the meals to the ice cream and the artwork is amazing! The one gentleman does all of the incredible custom painting there and it is very, very impressive. He has made sugar skulls, shirts and other various gifts on display that are for sale. Check them out!

Chucheroa La Chispita is a hidden gem in Brodhead. The tamales are amazing, the fruit drinks are refreshing and authentic. The family who runs it is incredibly kind and welcoming—always a great experience. Highly recommend!

Found this place on a whim. We had planned on going to the diner next store but decided to stop in here first. I’m sure glad we did! We lucked out and were able to snag their last 2 tamales. Verde and Mole… oh my goodness sooooo good. The flavor was perfect and they were the perfect texture. Honestly some of the best tamales I’ve had in a very very long time! We ordered esquites( corn in a cup), also very good. We finished both the corn cup and elote and were stuffed but then came out fruit cup. Made with fresh delicious sliced fruit chamoy and tajin. Perfectly dressed and made with tasty fresh fruit. I was very impressed! We will 100 percent be back. I stuffed myself so was unable to try their ice cream but can not wait to return for it. We had some absolutely delicious tamales here! I've been missing some good tamales since moving back to Brodhead from Denver and these hit the spot! We tried both the red and green versions, both are heavenly! Hope to try more from here soon as their ice cream section looked amazing with the chocolate dipped bananas!
