Customer Reviews
Good old school bar / restaurant serving up cold beer and hot pizza. We had calamari and fries to start and they were both good. We had a grandma's pie for our group and the mushrooms were really good, the other half had pepperoni. Not sure if there was sauce on the pie. Place was jumping early on a Saturday which slowed things down a little, and seems like a lot of regulars there - a few tables got in and out pretty quickly, beer selection is very limited on draught. I liked the vibe.
I myself had a beer with my friend had a beer and she knows bartending we'll we tried this place the beer was not great tasted flat plus too much foam was not worth it. So I tried some bread it was hard couldn't bite it wasn't soft enough ehh I still think the salad and fish was okay just no taste they need new chef's or management or new ingredients plus my friends pizza was too plain you can taste the pizza with no effort into it know wonder people are at the place across a street more likely 7eleven is better than what we ate terrible terms maybe get new cooks.
Been to Chrone’s several times over the years and whether it’s a bustling NFL Sunday or a slow weekday lunch, it’s always a good spot for a beer and some excellent pizza. Beers are served fast and the TVs are always tuned to live sports which is not always the norm these days. It’s a no frills spot and not somewhere you’re going for a boujee atmosphere, but it’s somewhere I’ve enjoyed every time.
I hate having to do this, but when ownership changes, food changes. Things change. My girlfriend and I would go there once a month at least. The mozzarella sticks looked burnt but were perfect (read: NOT Sysco). The chicken soup tasted like nanna slaved over the pot all day. The chicken parm was cheesy and crispy. Then it got sold. I get it - your place, your taste. Not the same experience. Not the same flavor. I still wish you success! If you have the old Chicken Soup Recipe, I'll gladly take it :)
This is a great, somewhat “old school”, spot in a good location with parking. They do a very good job. Local independent places like this are disappearing; if we want them to be around, we have to support them. Experience - the atmosphere is classic, with a great bar. Service - the service at the bar is always very good and the service in the dining room is as well. The long-tenured bartenders and servers are responsive, friendly, and kind. Food - The food is very good. Plenty of entrees, sandwiches, and pizza to choose from. Overall, the value is outstanding.
