Chris's Charcoal Pit

Have gone to Chris’s since a teen on West Street and it was the best (being half Lebanese, we love the food) We are so happy it reopened with new ownership and location after the tornado. Beautiful inside, the food is delicious and large portions. We recently ordered Dolmades ( stuffed grape leaves) Christmas Eve and a few sides, nice surprise of a delicious baklava! Dolmades are just like my Mom made! Excellent food and a nice variety, warm friendly ownership and staff.

I love the spinach pie and Greek salad (5 stars based on specifically these two items), and pizza here. My husband gets the gyro and likes that as well. The pizza sauce is somewhat sweet sauce and I like the crust. They have the pizza steak and cheese (steak sub with pizza sauce and cheese) and it was good too. Chicken tenders dinner was really good as reported by another teenager eating dinner with us. The people working the are always nice and carry out was a breeze.

After relocating, we finally returned to our favorite Greek restaurant, and it did not disappoint! We’ve been fans since their days on West Street in Annapolis. The service was exceptional, with our food arriving quickly. The owner was incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the chicken oregano, while my husband enjoyed the Greek platter—both dishes were generous portions and cooked to perfection. The Greek salad was fresh, and the dressing was outstanding. The highlight of our meal was definitely the taramasalata; it was incredibly flavorful and truly the star of the show. I highly recommend this gem in Annapolis, whether you’re a Greek food lover or just looking for a great dining experience!

Wow! A picture of the most scrumptious, loaded, zesty looking gyro I ever did see showed up on my google feed when I was in the area the other day and I walked into this outfit and showed the owner the picture as a means to place the order. That picture sold that gyro better than anyone could. Turns out it was their famous gyro less tomatoes. And the food tasted as amazing as that picture looked. That's all I can say. It was so good I went back for another the very next day. What Ia great find this was! Best gyro I ever had!

This was my first visit and I was really surprised by how good it was. The location is easy to get in and out of. The place is clean, large, and open inside with plenty of seating. Clean bathrooms. Very friendly staff. I got the gyro and loved it. Twice the size of a normal gyro and VERY fresh.
