Cholula Restaurant

My wife and I finally found a great place to get tamales made correctly. The staff is courteous and friendly. It may be 65 miles away from home but it is worth the drive. My steak was delicious and so was her fried grouper. Rice and beans were delicious also.

My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose Cholula for Englishtown, our 103rd town. Most folks get takeout, but we decided to eat outdoors on their tented patio. Service was fine, although minimal, as its primarily a takeout place. I judge most Mexican places on their mole, and Cholula passed the bar! Ceviche mixto, burrito bowl, and chicken tacos were all good too.

Regular taste, no spice at all.

First time eating here. Great food. Can’t wait to go back. Staff was very friendly and nice.

Oh my goodness. Stop what you are doing and drive here, this place is very good. We ordered birria tacos, carne asada tacos, al pastor tacos, fried quesadilla, and horchata. The al pastor was pretty good. The carne asada was crispy and super tasty. The birria tacos were very delicious. The fried quesadilla was delightful and crispy. Nachos were provided upon seating. Horchata is very delicious.
