Choice Barbecue Restaurant

Worst bbq iv had in Texas. Most of the food comes straight out of a can. The ribs were boiled and microwaved to heat back up. This price was a bit much for what it was and how it tasted. The people were nice. Oh the sweet tea was more like a lemony sweet I personally don't care for that but it was ok. In my opinion don't waste your time if your from the south and have had bbq before

This place charges a 3% fee to use your credit/debit card. This is against the law to do in Texas. They dont tell you this and when it shows up on your receipt. they point to a sign they have on the side of the cash register. The prices have went up alot and you dont get very much food. they have been open along time, so why are you charging people a fee to use their credit/debit card. I will not be going back again.

Tried this place today. It was pleasantly good. It was not over the top, but neither was the price. We had a pork steak, rice, and Mac & cheese. The service was great, the food, was good and so was the cost. Happy customers.

I found my way to this restaurant based on an article about how good their chitterlings are. For those of you who don't know what chitterlings are, it's pig intestines that when cooked right can make a delicious meal, just dont eat them from anybody who isn't an expert in preparing chitterlings, you will pay the price if they are not cleaned properly. Well they were out of chitterlings so I decided to try some other items off the menu. I tried the BBQ chicken, ribs, brisket, and sausage with side orders of mac and cheese and collard greens. I also tried the lemon cake and banana pudding for dessert. I have to say if you want true BBQ off the grill this may not be the go to place for you. My favorite spot. Nobody does it like Choice BBQ. I love this place. It's not expensive I just buy a lot when I go.
