Chitterchats

Wonderful little shop at the end of the road. Staff was very friendly. Ice cream was delicious. Consistency and creaminess of the ice cream was on point. The flavor of the vanilla was near perfect. Also sampled a coffee ice cream shake which was also well executed. I'll certainly be back! Note that there are limited hours so be sure you coordinate a visit to the open times.

I’m sad to say our trip here was a disappointment. Flavors lack greatly within the ice cream itself and the ice cream was extremely soft- to the point of almost being soft serve. As a first-timer to Chitterchats, I’ve never tasted a handful of the offered flavors but there is no samples at all so that was a discouragement to try anything different. The shop was clean and smelled nice but that was about the only upside. Hopefully change will come soon.

We sailed in to the town of Reedville, VA for an afternoon and an overnight stay on our way up the Chesapeake Bay. Decided to walk around the quaint town of Reedville, which is like a picture out of a storybook, an absolute enchanting blast from the past, a preserved time capsule!! While we were there, we had the fortunate good timing of visiting the ice cream shop Chitterchats just as it opened and the owner was very friendly. When we arrived she was making fresh waffle cones, the smell was delightful! My husband and I both had two scoops of ice cream, it was the best ice cream I we have had, next to NC State’s creamery! It was the highlight to our afternoon! We highly recommend this place if you haven’t tried it before, you won’t be disappointed!!

The ice cream is so good. They were out of my favorite and so I got a milk shake it was very thin. I wouldn't order one again

This is a great little ice cream shop in Reedville. Their hours were limited, but the various flavors and service were well worth the effort. Stop by if you get a chance!
