Chinese Gourmet

Been coming here for 20 years. Saw some bs reviews so needed to set the record straight. The family that runs it is great, have always been super nice people. Bit of a chinese edge to them at times but thats just the culture. The reviewer that said they skimp on the meat is trippin.... they always hook it up in my experiences. See pic of mid-size order of beef and broccoli. Over some rice in the bowl, plenty left over in to-go container...

The garbage can very dirty and filthy, left over food on the table it looks like from the night before, my order was the majority of it rice looking for the shrimp and the broccoli , im paying for a meal it supposed to be tasty and good !! The lady behind the counter she doesn't use any common sense and her answers rude. Health department should check that place out .

The food is consistently good. Quantity is also OK. Unfortunately, shrinkflation has occurred in the last few years so the amount of meat has gone way down.

Chinese Gourmet is absolutely the best spot in the area. The service is top notch, incredibly polite and thoughtful staff. Delivery was fast and the driver made sure everything was in order. I recommend this place to anyone who asks me where to eat in Point Pleasant!

While the food tastes great. What we are paying for it we should be entitled to more meat. I ordered house rice and really couldn't find the meat. It was speckled meat. And the egg rolls should be called cabbage and carrots roll....NO MEAT!! They must be struggling to stay afloat so cheat us and keep the lights on I guess. It should be called the Meatless Gourmet!
