Why is it so hard to find decent Chinese food in Raleigh? Unfortunately, this place was a major disappointment — and now I understand why Apple Maps has it sitting at 2.5 stars. We walked in before 7pm and they already had chairs flipped onto the tables and were mopping the floors, which didn’t feel very welcoming. We ordered three items: orange chicken, fried wings with fried rice, and house special lo mein. The total came to $43. When I asked for a receipt, I was informed there’s a 3% surcharge for credit card payments — something that wasn’t clearly communicated upfront. The fried rice was not fried rice. It was yellow rice — slightly dry, undercooked, and completely lacking vegetables. No onions, no carrots, nothing. Just bland rice. The fried wings were okay — nothing special, noth

Chinatown Express is consistently very good and has become my go-to spot. I get the general Tso's probably once every two weeks and sometimes its mediocre at worst but often its VERY good. The chicken is crispy and the sauce is very flavorful. I would recommend Chinatown express.

First time ordering from here because China Star Cafe at old Raleigh village is closed. If I could give them 6 stars I would. The employees were very nice and friendly. We had a great experience here! The lo mein and chicken broccoli were delicious and hot. Also, they have a poster that we can draw our own emoji or look at others drawing while we are waiting. I would highly recommend!

DO NOT GO The food was too salty and tasted 😩, found hairs too. When I requested owner refund or make it new, he denied, and rudely suggest trash the food. I never seen this kind of horrible person. Save your Money and Time.

Order shrimp fried rice and chicken wings as carry out. The chicken was fried it seem beyond crispy and the rice was very dry like it been sitting. I called to advise of the poor quality of food to request a refund. The lady offer no other suggestions, but a sorry we dont do refund. Recommend to review your food before leaving the establishment cause the service of customer service isn't there.
