Happen to stop by the restaurant since it’s so close to NCSU. They had the buffet available when I came (seems like it’s only for lunch 11-2:30). Drink was included and there’s a decent variety of food for the price. I really like their black pepper chicken and spicy fried fish. There was also roast duck, shredded pork garlic sauce, and mussels. Will be back for quick lunch and also to try takeout.
Been coming here since college. Good food and good price for the portion. I normally get the combo sesame chicken with white rice and egg roll when I order only for myself. With my bf we like to split the Pupu platter for the appetizers included in it like wings and bbq boneless ribs. We also get fried dumplings and try out a new main dish. Everything’s been really good so far!
So I went about 12:15/12:30 today and ordered a lunch special shrimp w/ garlic sauce and white rice...... As you see from the picture that is not what i received. I got no receipt to confirm my order. I drove all the way home on my lunch break and sat down to be completely dissatisfied by this slimy lobster and peas sauce instead of the garlic sauce I was intending to get it was my first time trying it out being new to the side of town in Raleigh and I don't think I'm going to return......saddest part I loved seeing about the buffet and hoped to bring my children here.
I used to come here very regularly for the lunch buffet before covid. They shut down the buffet for a couple of years and I just realized they had it back! It is very good still. I'm glad I came back. Changes to note: Payment was up front. Not a bad thing just didn't realize it. You get your own drinks now instead of the waiter filling. They will pick up your plates but a lot of people bus their own table. It was no where near as busy as it once was but I was happy and plan on coming again. Food was still great, people still nice.
Stopped by for a dine in lunch. Ordered the moo goo gai pan (chicken with mushroom) lunch special, which comes with veggie fried rice. The food was tasty, and the price was decent. They do have lunch buffet (as of Oct 2022, the price is $9.99 for adult buffet) but the buffet is only open 11-2:30 p.m. Quick service and overall a decent experience.
