China Delight

Great food for the last 20 yrs! Boneless BBQ spare ribs, steamed dumplings (my opinion the best in the tristate area and I love me some Jersey take out but these have a hold on me), egg rolls, fried rice, chicken lo mean, and generals chicken hasnt disappointed us yet, But over the years now the inside could def use some cleaning and updates, but its not a sit and eat place either so 🤷‍♀️ for take out I guess, but as some have said they tend to cater to the phone rather than who is right in front of them, busy nights just happen to be that way, she was still pleasant and got my food in a timely manner and continued multitasking away, so thanks for the night off lol

Their food was pretty good until recently. The Generals Chicken, Sesame Chicken and Beef and Subgum Wonton are overpriced to the point of chewing on bricks. My son has often complained about their fried rice being very greasy. They use way too much oil for everything they cook. You can taste an oil slick on everything now. The White rice is even oily. It shouldn't be oiled at all. First time I had their Subgum Wonton last night and the "sauce" was like a brown thickened oil. Not much flavor. I had their Chicken LoMein twice, the first I thought maybe it was oily by accident. Ordered a few weeks later, again, same thing. We have lived up here for 5 years and have tried pretty much every Chinese restaurant in the area. They start out decent enough but they always wind up disappointing. We have never tried this place because I always forget they are down in Dingmans Ferry but last night my husband Googled Chinese food near us and this place came up so we decided to try it. We did read the reviews so we were not hopeful. How wrong are these reviews! If you are judging this place is food by their appearance you are doing a disservice to yourself and to anyone else that reads the reviews. I went in thinking the worst to pick up my food and looked around to find this place is very clean. Yes it's old and dated but we find that some of the best old and dated places have the best food and this place did not disapp

This place makes me cringe a bit. I brought the food, tried a bit..but most went in the trash. Just pulling up and seeing the outside, I knew I would not be eating here more than once. The photos don't really show it as well as when you're there. I ordered fried dumplings, and sweet and sour chicken, neither were very good. The fried rice had nothing but egg in and and was extremely dry. The chicken was obviously the cheapest fatty cuts you can get, and it was rubbery to chew. Maybe my taste for the food was biased by the look of the place, but I can't abide by Chinese Americans who own restaurants and go crazy putting up plastic shields, slide draws for transactions, not allowing people into their stores sometimes etc etc, and yet don't give a lick about cleanliness. Delicious food and great service! We ordered General Chicken and Beef with Vegetables ✨ We also got the Jasmine tea for a drink and we loved it. 100% recommend this place
