⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Incredible Tacos and Great Vibe! I was visiting my sister in Raleigh from Colorado. We stopped by Chido Taco and tried the barbacoa, tripe, and al pastor tacos and all three were amazing! The flavors were authentic and rich, the tortillas were perfectly toasted, and everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. You can tell they care about quality and keeping that true mercado style taqueria feel. I also had Jamaica juice. 👌 The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the downtown vibe made it even better. Definitely one of the best taco spots I’ve been to highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
I love this place, but they are closed so often I am confused how they have any business. If I can catch this place open, then I love having a Carne Asada torta otherwise, I’ve been here three separate times where they have not been open. I cannot choose to recommend this to my friends because it’s not open so often. They didn’t have a sign on the door as to why it was closed, but that is just my experience. The food is awesome.
First time getting the birria burrito but it felt more like a vegetarian one. I couldn’t see/taste any meat. As always the salsa bar is nice and there is parking.
Max with Offline - I stopped by Chido Taco in Downtown Raleigh today and had an awesome experience. The food was delicious — I ordered the chicken quesadilla, and my friend had the steak quesadilla. Both were packed with flavor. We also tried the shrimp tacos, which were fresh and tasty, and the rice and beans were a solid side. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the whole place was clean and welcoming. They mentioned the Quesabirria is a fan favorite, so that’s definitely on my list for next time. Also worth noting — they have a super cute bar that I didn’t get to try today, but I’m definitely coming back soon for a cocktail and to hang out a bit longer.
I ordered three quesabirrias + Mango Juice. I 100% recommend it. There is a station with unlimited radish and cucumber, sauces, salt and pepper. The quesabirria comes with a small consomé (like soup) cup. Everything is delicious. Just an observation for improvement: the restroom was ok, but not very clean. However, there were soap, water, and paper towels so you can dry your hands. Without hesitation, try this place out!
