Chicken King of Louisville

Visiting from outta town and read in a couple forums that this place is the place to go for fried chicken, and I agree. Top 5 best fried chicken I’ve ever had. It is drive thru only, and the inside is only open for DoorDash and pick up. Staff was nice. Ordered the 2 piece plate that came with 3 potato wedges and roll, 10 piece hot honey wings, small side of Mac n cheese, and small side of collard greens. The sides were okay, but the chicken was on point. The collard greens were a little bitter, and the Mac n cheese was good, but not amazing. Also ordered a side of corn bread. It was a little too soft for my liking, but delicious nonetheless the less. Would definitely come back again. Fried chicken: 5/5 Hot honey wings: 4.5/5 Mac n cheese: 3/5 Greens: 2/5 Corn bread: 4/5

Chicken was dry like it had been sitting all day and I got food at noon. Didn’t taste any spice to the spicy chicken and it was really dark like they haven’t been changing the oil in fryer. I heard this place was better than Indi’s but from my first experience I can not say so.

Best chicken in Louisville. Super juicy and tender. Mac and cheese was alright for someone who doesn’t care too much for it. The broccoli casserole is amazing. Pictured is the keel dinner. Huge pieces. Enough for two people. Super affordable prices

Wish I could give 0. Service is horrible. I asked for a simple 4 piece chicken wing meal sauced in hot honey and this lady told me "we don't sauce the whole wings".....huh???? I just canceled my order after waiting in line for 45 minutes and I was really looking forward to trying this place. But you have chicken and you have sauce... Why can I not have my chicken wings sauced ? Lol this place is a joke. I will never come here.

The service was amazing food not so much. I purchased a wing special and a catfish dinner. The chicken was good the catfish looked good but the fish was mush it wasn’t edible the sweet potato casserole and green beans weren’t good. I would go back for the chicken
