Chicken Express

My husband stopped on way home from long drive from Houston, picked up an 8 piece with green beans and rolls tonight around 6pm. Unfortunately this is the worst chicken express order I've ever experienced. Rolls were dry and hard, the green beans and the chicken both tasted like it was nothing but salt! We couldn't even eat any of it due to overload of salty taste! I would Have taken it back right away but we live 45 minutes away from El Campo! Just sad, cant get a good meal anymore.

Let’s get into it. 1) so much food is ready to go, but it sits, they make so much for it to just go bad. There is only a certain amount of time cooked product can sit out before you have to pull it. It’s chicken it can cause serious food poisoning. Also fries, old and cold… or their favorite double cooked because they refuse to make anything fresh when asked. The rolls are set on the bottom not even in the heat lamp to keep them warm. It’s all ridiculous, just so they can stand around with their hands literally in their pockets. I’ll will come back to this review because this place needs to be inspected.

Cashier was rude. Chicken was old and overcooked. Mashed potatoes with gravy had no flavor.

I love Chicken Express! It is yummy! However, it is ridiculous for that business to have not fixed the air conditioning. Those employees are around our food and they have them in a sweat shop. I cannot even imagine what the temperature is back in the kitchen, but it is not good or safe working conditions. Even if the parts are out of stock or something, they could get window units or alternative a/c options to cool the air for the employees and the customers. They do have a couple fans for customers but hot air circulated is still hot air.

so I haven't gone back to this location for over a year since my last 1 star review due to 30 minute wait times for chicken at 5:30 in the afternoon. Thought I would give them another chance today for lunch. Left work and drove across town for some gizzards, and they are out. This is the last time I will EVER try and eat at this overpriced, under managed restaurant chain again. EVER.
