Chicken Express

Genuinely better chicken than Lanes or Canes. This is gonna give me some hate but if we're being honest, people like those places mostly because they like going there with friends. This is not a trendy diner experience. But let's be real, you're not coming to a chicken express for a sit down diner experience, you're coming here because you want some fried chicken. And their fried chicken doesn't need a sauce to be good, it's just yummy as it is. So would I reccomend it? Yes. It's not my go-to place, since I prefer a traditional full meal, but the chicken is actually good.

Manager's Special: $9.08 with a drink. The staff are friendly, they even have nick names for my coworker and I. We go once a week mostly, and it's just what you would expect; quick chicken in a box with some of the sweetest tea you can find.

Bad especially for cost. Cold gravy and mixed chicken gizzards with liver. Told manager and like always bring it back even though not too far from them. Container of gravy must of been already put in container with lid on it. Not a good response to resolve matters.

So I LOVE Chicken Express! Takes me back to my West Texas Days when my Daughter and I would make the trip from San Antonio to San Angelo, TX; always one of our Favorite stops for eating on the road! Even more, takes me back to my childhood as only place I know where you can order Gizzards (Love ‘Em)! Here in Bryan, TX location Rocked it—fresh food; fast service; tasty Tea; and, most importantly, Great Friendly Service! Brought out my food to me (at a fast food joint); repeated my order for accuracy; free refills; and even checked in on me in the middle of my meal! Come see these Great Folks at Chicken Express—even if it’s just for the Gizzards! 👍🏽

The general manager today at lunch would not release an order to me because she wanted me to verify items and would not get the bag out of the back so that I could confirm that she had the correct order. I have always had a problem with management there and I would say that they should be a little more friendly with people in the Brazos valley. I have had many problems from this location and I don’t ever have any problems from at other locations. I am a mason and don’t appreciate seeing people being treated in this kind of manner. I appreciate it of the owner would take a look into this matter. I will be calling the headquarters to file a formal complaint.
