Chick-fil-A

I had a very concerning experience at the Chick-fil-A located at 2385 South Lake Mall, Merrillville, IN. After receiving my order, I noticed a strong, fermented/ammonia like odor coming from multiple Polynesian sauce packets. This was not a normal food smell and appeared consistent with spoilage. I stopped eating immediately. This is not food that should be given to children or pets, and it raises serious safety concerns. When I reported the issue, employees were able to smell the sauce and agreed it was abnormal. However, the on-duty manager, Seth, did not remove the product and instead escalated the situation by calling the police, despite my being calm, cooperative, and simply reporting a food safety concern. Went here this week, the food was good. Drive through was kinda slow due to a rush but our order was accurate. However, Katie took our order and tho she was kind, I felt that she was overly kind to my husband and kept calling him “babe,” but with me, she was blunt and kept her attention to my husband, which made me uncomfortable. I’m not sure if I’m the only one who feels this way especially since Katie is around age but I don’t think it’s professional to be calling a customer “babe.”

Very disappointed and concerned. I’ve been a loyal Chick-fil-A customer forever and have always trusted their quality — but this experience completely changed that. I ordered two meals about 40 minutes before closing, and the chicken nuggets I received were cold, sticky, smelled strange, and looked gray/pink and undercooked on the inside. It was so disturbing I couldn’t even finish my food. I even felt sick afterward. I went to the restaurant the very next day, showed the food and photos, and the manager showed little concern — offering only a refund for the nuggets, which did not feel appropriate given the situation. Amazing service from the entire crew, greeted with a smile, got food out very fast. Particularly was helped by “Farah” and “Ryan”, very good workers and would recommend this spot to anyone.. much better than the Chick Fil A in hammond.

This is my usual chick fil a that i always go to. I received the wrong order but im assuming it was because it was 30 minutes before close
