Chicatana

I was pleasantly surprised as a Mexican 🇲🇽🙋🏻‍♀️person and from the DMV area. The sopes were so delicious. They’re definitely very modern, but tasted so good. My Mexican mom can’t even make this. My partner got the Tlayuda, which was so good. I got two tongue tacos, and one shrimp taco and I love both of them, but the shrimp one was the best. I also got a side of beans and rice. Overall would come back here.

Great service. Sat bar side just as happy hour began and while it was quiet at first soon enough it got busy and we are talking midweek They did not cheap out and water down my drinks. Great prices too. The cauliflower al pastor tacos

The service was absolutely fantastic. The food was ok. The brussel sprouts and passion fruit flan were really good, but I did not care for my quesadilla. My friend liked her shrimp tacos, but she thought they were a little spicy.

Chicatana is INSANELY good. We didn't have any expectations coming here and were totally blown away by the quality of the food. Enmole was delicious. Creamy, spicy, not too bitter, and incredibly flavorful. The passion fruit flan is a must get as well!

My girlfriend and I have now been twice and I don't know that we'll go anywhere else. The guacamole is the best- fresh with cilantro and chili oil and salsa matcha. We also had sopes de pulpo, al pastor taco, carne asada taco, camaron al diablo taco, duck hurrache, and langosta taco- every bite was absolutely delicious. The pulpo fresh and cooked perfectly, the steak perfect MR-M, the shrimp were the perfect texture, and as someone who eats a lot of duck I can honestly say it's up there with some of the best I've had. Antonio one of the owners was kind and generous and a pleasure to meet. Makes a mean spicy mezcal margarita too. We look forward to many more nights at Chicatana. -Caleb and Danielle
