Chester Library

Library is bright, clean, and engaging. Library staff are helpful.

This used to be a decent library 1 year ago but things have gone sour. A new study room policy only available to Chester residents, reduced hours, and above all, too much NOISE. The sitting layout is awful, not many sitting cubicles. Senior citizens talking loud for hours, even the Library staff were shouting across each other. Totally unaceptable. Higher management should take over and enforce rule #1 of any library is Noise. At least, the washington township library (15 min away) does a fairly good job of enforcing noise and eating.

I love this place. Peaceful and serene. Staff are nice and helpful too.

Very nice library. I'm not from Chester but I often visit to buy books at their book fairs. Before Covid their sales were excellent in the big side room. Hundreds of varied books. But now, they still have a good sale but it's reduced in selections. Hopefully, it will return to the way it was. I like their prices, selections & the people at the library are always helpful & friendly.
